Glutathione

What is Glutathione?

Glutathione or (C10H17N3O6S), is a naturally occurring tripeptide/antioxidant present within plants, archaea, fungi, animals, and some bacteria. Humans require glutathione for the production of leukotrienes and prostaglandins, the chemicals neccessary for bodily reactions; allergies, menstruation, conception, luteolysis are all the product of luekotrienes and prostaglandins.
Use As An Antioxidant
Glutathione reacts in the glyoxalase system to detoxify methylglycoxal, formaldehyde, free radicals, and heavy metals from the body. As a partial amino acid, it develops proteins and chemicals needed for the building of tissue and its repair, and enhances immune system function.
